I recently did some weekend work constructing a stand for my amazing partner and amazing photographer Paula Gillespie. It was quite a fun project to source materials and figure out some practical build process (Industrial pipe threading machines are both frightening and fascinating it turns out!).
The basic brief was vintage industrial using metal piping and reclaimed materials. Roughly 2+m length and 2m height with a few shelves in there.
Its nice to build something physical for a change.
The stand was on display at quirky weddings in the waterfront, Belfast. It turned but its made to look much better with Paula’s work and juxtaposing the modern chevron with the brutal industrial stand. Not bad for a few cold saturdays.
